Associate Paster & Minister of Music - Reverand Joseph Marchio
T. Joseph Marchio, a native of Charleston, W.V., recently completed a Master of Divinity degree at Yale University through the Yale Institute of Sacred Music. He has sung with and conducted choirs and performed as an organ soloist throughout the east coast and midwestern states.
He is currently a Candidate for Ordination in the Presbyterian Church (USA). He lives with his wife in Harwich, MA.

Joseph's organ studies at Yale were with Martin Jean and choral conducting studies were with Marguerite Brooks. He also holds a B.A. in Religious Studies and a Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance from The College of Wooster in Wooster, OH. Organ and conducting studies at Wooster were with John Russell, Dr. Thomas Gouwens, and Nancy Ditmer. Joseph also studied organ with Todd Wilson at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Other organ teachers include Wayne Eich and David Higgs. Piano studies have been with Pam Yarnell.

At Wooster he received the Richard T. Gore Prize for organ students for two years and was chosen to assist in a research project to catalogue organs built by Karl Wilhelm. He was also inducted in Pi Kappa Lambda, a music honorary society and was awarded the prestigious Presser Scholarship given to an outstanding music major involved in other studies. Contact Joe

Amy Middleton, Church School Director
Amy Middleton, a native of Atlanta, Ga. and Vero Beach, Fl., received her undergraduate degree in advertising and studio art from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. After she graduated, she moved to Boston, where she continued her postgraduate studies at Massachusetts College of Art and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Her professional background includes advertising, art and art education. She has been working as an artist and art educator since 1994.

Having spent her childhood summers in Chatham, Amy wanted to return to the area that had brought her so much happiness. She was named Church School Director in 2004, having previously served on the Board of Christian Education. She is also a church school teacher in the pre-kindergarten class. She sees our church as a "warm and inviting place where children can learn and grow in their spiritual development." She leads our summer Children's Art Studio. She resides in Chatham with her husband and two sons. Contact Amy
